Can you introduce yourself and your role at GoDaddy?
Hi, I’m Jonathan, and I’m part of the HR Operations team, specifically working on Leaves & Accommodations. I initially joined as a contractor in March 2022 and transitioned to a full-time role in May 2024. While working as a contractor, I developed a keen interest in our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). After becoming a full-time employee, I joined the GoDaddy LatinX (GDLIT) Employee Resource Group Core Team, assisting with various tasks during our spotlight month. In January 2025, I stepped into the role of Co-President of GDLIT.

As Co-President of GDLIT, which initiatives or projects excite you the most, and why?
I’m particularly passionate about boosting community engagement. I believe that the more we learn about each other, the stronger our connections become—our workplace isn’t just a team; it’s a family. Another initiative that excites me is our Feed the Starving Children volunteer day, which allows us to make a meaningful impact on some of society’s most vulnerable members.

What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you, and how do you celebrate it?
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time of pride and reflection for me. It’s an opportunity to honor the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and LatinX communities, while also appreciating the values that have shaped us—resilience, family, and joy.

I celebrate by embracing traditions that connect me to my roots, like cooking traditional dishes such as arroz con gandules, empanadas, and pasteles with my family—recipes filled with stories and memories. Music is also central to the celebrations; I enjoy salsa, merengue, and reggaetón, and sometimes host gatherings where friends and family can share in food, music, and laughter. At work, I aim to highlight these traditions and foster inclusive conversations that celebrate the diversity within the LatinX community. Hispanic Heritage Month is more than just a celebration—it’s a reminder of our culture’s strength and beauty.

Which aspects of GoDaddy’s culture do you value the most?
I feel fortunate to work with such supportive, talented, and compassionate colleagues. GoDaddy fosters a genuine sense of belonging and actively promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). It’s inspiring to see the company consistently prioritize these values and support ERGs, making employees feel recognized and appreciated. I believe that anyone who invests their time and energy into their work deserves to feel valued—and at GoDaddy, that feeling is very real.
