Wesco is dedicated to promoting the overall health and wellbeing of its workforce by offering a wide range of supportive programs and resources. Employees can access local Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), which provide confidential guidance on legal concerns, counseling services, fitness and wellness coaching, family matters, stress management, and financial issues.
Employees also benefit from Passport, our digital learning platform, which features numerous wellbeing and lifestyle courses designed to foster both personal and professional development. Together, these tools encourage a healthy, well-balanced work life.
Health and Safety Training
In 2024, Wesco employees worldwide completed nearly 75,000 hours of health and safety training.
Additional training methods include daily safety huddles, safety alerts, and safety stand-downs—moments when teams pause work to address a safety issue to prevent incidents or avoid recurrence. Monthly safety discussions further reinforce awareness by focusing on emerging trends and relevant safety topics.
Operational leaders receive fresh training materials weekly through email or push notifications from Wesco NOW, our new internal communication app. Monthly compliance topics are also delivered through Passport. In collaboration with our learning and development teams, we continuously enhance our training programs by updating content in Passport and expanding use of Axonify, a learning platform that provides daily micro-learning for operations staff. These solutions allow us to tailor training for specific roles and strengthen our company-wide safety culture.
Occupational Health Services
We rely on occupational health services to deliver high-quality employee care and proactive management of injuries and health-related cases. These services are provided by qualified and accredited professionals.
Our goal is to make occupational health support as accessible as possible, whether through on-site evaluations, visits to a family physician or occupational health provider, or phone consultations. Employees in all our operating regions can access these services during work hours and in their local language. External specialists help us address hazard elimination, reduce risks, make workplace adjustments, and plan safe returns to work following extended absences.
All personal information collected through occupational health services is managed in line with our Data Privacy Notice and applicable privacy laws. Consistent with our Global Code of Business Conduct, employees’ health information—or their participation in any health-related programs—is never used to grant or deny any form of preferential treatment.
