At Wesco, we believe that engaged employees drive innovation, productivity, and long-term success. To better understand our workforce and strengthen engagement, we launched an enhanced Employee Engagement Survey in 2024, achieving a 72% global response rate. The results revealed improvements across 17 of the 18 dimensions we measured.
These insights give us a clearer picture of what we’re doing well and where we can improve. The feedback directly informs our people strategies and helps us foster a workplace where employees feel appreciated, empowered, and motivated to perform at their best.
Key Highlights from the 2024 Survey
- Ethical Conduct: 86% of respondents affirmed that Wesco maintains a strong commitment to ethical business practices—8% higher than the global average.
- Health and Safety: 85% of employees rated our workplace safety and physical conditions positively, surpassing the global benchmark by 9%.
- Manager Effectiveness: 81% of participants shared that they have a positive relationship with their managers, noting that their leaders are supportive, respectful, and effective.
The WOW initiative reinforces a sense of belonging and gratitude, ensuring employees are acknowledged for both major accomplishments and everyday acts that make a difference.
