Lenovo Tops 2025 Gartner Asia/Pacific Supply Chain Rankings with AI and Sustainability Leadership

09/29/2025

Lenovo, a global leader in technology, has secured the top spot in Gartner®’s Asia/Pacific Supply Chain Top 10 for 2025, marking its fourth consecutive year leading APAC companies across industries. This ranking highlights excellence in supply chain management, including network adaptability to support growth, driving efficiency and resilience through technology, and fostering sustainability via circular innovation. Lenovo’s operational prowess continues to reshape its global supply chain and manufacturing network. In addition, the company reached a major global milestone by climbing to No. 8 in Gartner’s Global Supply Chain Top 25 for 2025, an improvement of two positions from 2024.

Lenovo welcomes this continued recognition, which underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to AI-driven innovation, operational excellence, and ESG leadership. Its strong performance across evaluation criteria reinforces Lenovo’s position as a leader in supply chain transformation.

Building resilience through global expansion
Lenovo’s flexible and resilient supply chain is key to navigating geopolitical and economic uncertainties. Operating in 180 markets with more than 30 manufacturing facilities across 11 countries, Lenovo is scaling its operations to enhance agility and resilience.

As part of this strategy, Lenovo is expanding its manufacturing presence into Saudi Arabia to better serve customers in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). This expansion strengthens the company’s regional footprint, supports market growth, and ensures faster delivery of products, services, and solutions across MEA. Strategic investments like this allow Lenovo to quickly respond to global shifts while maintaining high service standards and operational flexibility.

Enhancing efficiency with AI-powered operations
Central to Lenovo’s supply chain innovation is the “Lenovo Powers Lenovo” initiative, which leverages the company’s own technology, infrastructure solutions, and intellectual capital to optimize internal operations. Lenovo is integrating AI across its supply chain—from manufacturing and logistics to sustainability and customer support.

For instance, a newly developed AI-enabled tool provides comprehensive visibility across Lenovo’s supply chain, offering real-time risk alerts, automation, and decision-making support. In cases of logistics disruption, such as congested transport lanes, the system automatically detects the issue, evaluates alternatives and associated costs, and recommends the optimal response.

Amar Babu, President of Lenovo Asia Pacific, states, “Being recognized as No. 1 in Asia Pacific for the fourth year, alongside our rise in global rankings, validates our efforts to build a smarter, more resilient supply chain. From AI-driven tools to sustainable logistics, our innovations help customers and partners gain a competitive edge in a dynamic environment.”

Promoting sustainability through circular innovation
Sustainability remains a key focus for APAC’s top-ranked supply chains, with circular innovation playing a central role. Lenovo is at the forefront of circular practices, incorporating recycled materials into more than 298 product lines, including the use of aircraft by-product carbon fiber. The company has also pioneered sustainable packaging using materials such as sugarcane and bamboo, demonstrating its commitment to responsible product development.
Additionally, Lenovo earned the #3 spot in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 and Masters for 2025: High Tech Top 10 ranking, further solidifying its leadership in supply chain excellence.
