Entergy Awards $5,000 Community Power Scholarships to Mississippi Students
Entergy is supporting recent high school graduates across its four-state service region by awarding $5,000 scholarships through its Community Power Scholarship program.

In 2025, seven outstanding students from Mississippi—including children of Entergy employees—were selected for their strong commitment to academics, community service, and leadership. These one-time awards can be applied toward accredited vocational-technical schools, as well as two-year and four-year colleges and universities.

“These talented young people have shown exceptional drive in shaping their futures and strengthening their communities,” said Haley Fisackerly, president and CEO of Entergy Mississippi. “The Community Power Scholarships will help them take the next step in their education while deepening their impact locally. At Entergy, giving back is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to honor their achievements.”

The 2025 Mississippi recipients and their chosen schools are:
  • Meredith Hawkins, Jackson – Mississippi State University
  • Alexis Hunter, Jackson – University of Mississippi
  • Grace Gardner, Madison – Colorado State University
  • Madelynn Soucie, Madison – Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College
  • Ryan Wu, Madison – Duke University
  • Alyssa Norsworthy, McComb – Southwest Mississippi Community College
  • Desmond Breland – Delta Technical College
These seven scholars join 22 additional recipients from Entergy’s broader four-state region.
For more than two decades, the Community Power Scholarship program has distributed over $3.6 million in support to more than 730 children of Entergy employees, helping them pursue higher education.
