US BanCorp appoints Loretta E Reynolds to its Board

11/01/2022

Loretta E. Reynolds has been elected as a director of US Bancorp by its board of directors, effective immediately. She will be a member of the U.S. Bancorp's Capital Planning and Risk Management Committees, as well as the Risk Management Committee's Cybersecurity Oversight Subcommittee.

Reynolds, 57, retired as a 3-star lieutenant general from the United States Marine Corps after a distinguished 35-year career. She is only the third woman in US Marine Corps history to be promoted to lieutenant general (3-star). Prior to her retirement, she led and managed the Marine Corps' global information portfolio, which included intelligence, information technology, networking, cyber, space, and information. She has previously held the positions of acting commander of the Marine Corps Forces Space Command and commander of the Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command. She also served on the United States Marine Corps Corporate Board from 2015 to 2021, where she was responsible for strategic oversight of a $50 billion budget as well as global strategy, capabilities, and missions.

“Lori is an expert in cybersecurity, information management and risk mitigation – expertise that will benefit U.S. Bank as we continue our digital transformation,” said Andy Cecere, U.S. Bancorp chairman, president and CEO. “As we strive to make banking easy, convenient, connected and digital, cybersecurity is more important than ever. I am certain that Lori, who has a long and distinguished 35-year career of service in the United States Marine Corps, will be a great asset to our board of directors and our company.”

Reynolds is the founder and CEO of LEReynolds Group, LLC, a consulting firm focused on providing information technology and strategic business intelligence services as well as advising complex global organisations on large-scale risk management.
