Marelli Partners with Toyota Racing for FIA WEC Hypercar Program
Marelli has announced a new partnership with TOYOTA RACING, joining the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercar Team as an official partner under an initial two-year agreement.

This collaboration brings together Marelli—an established global technology provider with over a century of experience in automotive and motorsport innovation—and TOYOTA RACING, a team widely known for its dedication to excellence, forward-thinking development, and leadership in international motorsport. The alliance highlights how strategic cooperation can accelerate advancements in vehicle performance and engineering.

By working closely, the two organizations aim to combine their expertise to develop next-generation racing solutions. Key areas of focus include improvements in powertrain systems and more efficient energy management technologies, which are expected to play a significant role in shaping future race car development.

As part of the agreement, Marelli’s branding will be prominently featured on the race cars, within the team’s garage, and across its official digital platforms.

Riccardo De Filippi, Head of Marelli Motorsport, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that it represents a proud milestone for the company. He emphasized that the FIA WEC provides an ideal platform for showcasing technologies that are relevant to road vehicles, reinforcing the belief shared by both organizations that motorsport serves as a vital testing ground for automotive innovation. He added that the partnership allows Marelli to contribute its endurance racing expertise while supporting TOYOTA RACING’s drive for continuous innovation, with the shared goal of achieving strong results both on the track and in real-world automotive applications.
