Qualcomm focuses on creativity, diversity and innovation to fuel its talent pipeline
Innovation is at the heart of Qualcomm’s business and is therefore critical to its success. Armed with diverse teams that provide wide arrays of perspectives, demographics, experiences and skills, Qualcomm fosters creativity and innovation.

In a statement it said, “We continue to build a diverse pipeline of talent to meet the needs of our diverse clients around the world today and in the future. Our approach to finding the best talent and using education and development as our primary recruitment tool has helped increase employment of women and URMs and reduce turnover in both groups.”

The following are the highlights of its 2021 efforts to diversify the talent pipeline:
  • More than 30 successful partnerships with organizations which includes AnitaB.org, Reboot Representation, Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers, Disability:IN, Fairygodboss, National Center for Women and Information Technology, Rallypoint, National Society of Black Engineers, GEM Consortium and others.
  • Continuation of its long-standing practice to ensure that all of its recruiters are trained on inclusive hiring techniques.
  • The launch of its Pathways Program, which provides employment opportunities for non-traditional experienced and early career talent. The global program consists of several focus areas such as a returnship program for technical professionals who have taken career breaks and are looking to re-enter the workforce; hiring of active military and spouses transitioning to the civilian workforce and hiring neurodiverse technically trained talent.
  • Selected to join WORK180  as an Endorsed Employer for All Women in the United Kingdom. WORK180 is a jobs platform that help women apply to workplaces with a proven commitment to diversity, inclusion and gender equality.
  • The launch of the Quantum Leap Program through Qualcomm India. The program aims to help women who are re-entering the workforce restart their journey and build skill sets for a successful career. To date, more than 300 women have applied to the program.
  • The founding of the Qualcomm Women Entrepreneur India Network  (QWEIN) 2.0, a mentorship program in partnership with Qualcomm Ventures that supports female entrepreneurs in India from sectors including healthcare, IoT, robotics, cleantech, agritech, XR and logistics.
