Improving access to healthcare and agriculture

08/25/2022

Do take a look at the video to see in-depth real life experiences of two industries which are lately in the news – agriculture and healthcare.

From delivering vitamins to mothers-to-be in Indonesia to feeding small farmers in Northern Africa so as to enable them to grow diverse crops everything is connected in this global village. Believe it or not but family planning options in the Middle East are closely linked to nutrition gaps in the United States. The thread that ties them all together is related to agriculture and healthcare.

They are more interconnected than you might think. Both issues are the largest obstacles across the globe today and it affects our lives intimately.

Turns out it often come down to access - who has it, who needs it, and how can it be better delivered.

Bayer’s vision is Health for All, Hunger for None.

To explore and increase the growing interdependencies, Bayer invited its employees and partners to turn on their cameras and provide a glimpse into their world, and their work, showing all viewers how they are changing their lives for the better through the important work of securing a better life FOR ALL through healthcare and agriculture.

“It’s one of the most gratifying things I can do…to give something back.” Said Mark Edge Director of Partnerships, Seeds and Traits Business Development. As a self-proclaimed “small town farm kid from Iowa,” he never thought he’d one day spend a large portion of his career in Africa, helping Smallholder Farmers and underserved communities improve on their crop yields and productivity.
