At Wesco, we believe that engaged employees drive innovation, productivity, and long-term success. To better understand our workforce and strengthen engagement, we launched an enhanced Employee Engagement Survey in 2024, achieving a 72% global response rate. The results revealed improvements across 17 of the 18 dimensions we measured.
These insights give us a clearer picture of what we’re doing well and where we can improve. The feedback directly informs our people strategies and helps us foster a workplace where employees feel appreciated, empowered, and motivated to perform at their best.

Wesco Outstanding Work (WOW)
Recognizing excellence is a cornerstone of our culture. Launched in 2022, the Wesco Outstanding Work (WOW) program enables employees to celebrate peers who exemplify exceptional performance and demonstrate our core values in action. Since its launch, team members have exchanged around 30,000 meaningful recognitions—each one a testament to our culture of appreciation.
The WOW initiative reinforces a sense of belonging and gratitude, ensuring employees are acknowledged for both major accomplishments and everyday acts that make a difference.
In addition to WOW, we also host the annual Lean Awards, which honor individuals and teams that successfully apply Lean principles to deliver measurable business results.
- The Lean Leadership Award, established in 2010, celebrates leaders who model Lean best practices and share their success stories.
- The Lean Execution Award, introduced in 2014, recognizes teams whose Kaizen or Lean projects have achieved significant, quantifiable improvements.
These programs underscore Wesco’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and recognizing the people who make it possible.
