Mary Kay Employees Pack HOPE Kits to Support Breast Cancer Patients
On September 10, 2025, Mary Kay Inc. employees united to support women served by the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), embodying the company’s spirit of giving. During a HOPE Kit Packing Party, team members prepared 100 thoughtfully assembled care packages, offering comfort, encouragement, and a heartfelt reminder that no one faces breast cancer alone.

Each HOPE Kit contained cozy socks, a journal and pen, soothing lotions, and other essentials aimed at easing the challenges of cancer treatment. Employees also included handwritten notes of support to uplift patients during difficult times.

The event buzzed with energy, laughter, and meaningful conversations as colleagues from different departments worked side by side. What started as a volunteer activity quickly turned into a powerful demonstration of the difference people can make when united by a common purpose.

Adding a playful twist, the packing party coincided with Mary Kay’s Surprise & Delight employee recognition celebration, where participants enjoyed refreshing ice cream treats on their way to or from the activity.

“At Mary Kay, our Go-Give Spirit drives us to enrich women’s lives. Participating in NBCF’s HOPE Kit Packing Party gave our employees a chance to make a tangible impact for women facing cancer, offering comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that compassion is universal,” said Melinda Foster Sellers, Chief People Officer at Mary Kay Inc.

HOPE Kits are designed for breast cancer patients who are newly diagnosed or undergoing treatment. Each item is carefully selected to help alleviate side effects, providing both practical comfort and emotional support.

“At the National Breast Cancer Foundation, our mission is to support individuals affected by breast cancer at every stage. Partnering with Mary Kay to assemble and distribute HOPE Kits allows us to bring comfort and encouragement to those in treatment,” said Brooke Adams, Senior Director of Charitable Giving & Strategic Partnerships at NBCF. “These kits are more than just supplies—they symbolize hope, compassion, and community. Together with Mary Kay, we can help ease the journey for patients and remind them they are never alone in facing breast cancer.”
