Dow has been recognized by Great Place To Work and Fortune as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For for the fifth year in a row. This year, Dow has made a significant leap in the rankings, moving from #79 last year to #25.
The selection process begins with a thorough survey of employees from eligible companies across the United States. The survey measures key factors such as management behaviors that foster trust, relationships with colleagues, and loyalty to the company. The results offer insights into employee sentiment and are indicative of factors such as retention, adaptability, and overall business success.
Jim Fitterling, Dow's chair and CEO, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, noting that the survey reflects the perspectives of Dow's team. “This honor speaks to the collaborative and engaging environment we’ve fostered, which is driven by a workforce committed to achieving positive results,” he said.
In 2024, over 1 million U.S. employees participated in the survey, providing feedback on topics like career development, compensation and benefits, company pride, and business impact.
Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work, highlighted that trust is a key driver of success in organizations. “Employees at companies on this list have greater trust in their leaders and in the company itself, which unlocks creativity, passion, and resilience,” he noted.
To be eligible for the list, companies must be certified by Great Place To Work and have 1,000 or more employees in the U.S. Earning a spot on the list is a strong indicator of company performance, with these companies consistently outpacing the market and their competitors in retention and innovation metrics.
Alveda Williams, Dow’s Chief Inclusion Officer, expressed pride in the company’s inclusive culture, stating, “We work hard to create an environment where people can achieve their full potential, both professionally and personally. This is central to our mission and a defining feature of Team Dow.”
In addition to the Fortune 100 recognition, Dow was also named one of Fortune’s World’s Best Workplaces™ for the second consecutive year in 2024. The company also ranked #1 in the Fortune Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production and earned a spot on the PEOPLE Companies That Care list.
