TCS Opens 2025 goIT Global Innovator Competition for Students

12/03/2025

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has announced that its 2025 goIT Global Innovator of the Year competition is now open for submissions from students aged 6 to 17. Entries will be accepted through December 31, 2025. Now in its fourth year, the program encourages young learners to create and submit technology-driven ideas that support the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and address critical global issues.

“This competition gives young people a space to demonstrate their creativity, innovation, and compassion,” said John DiChiara, Global goIT Program Manager at TCS. “It allows them to take part in a worldwide effort to build a more inclusive and sustainable future while developing skills that will benefit them in their education and future careers.”

For 2025, the goIT Global Innovator of the Year competition will accept all student projects created through classroom-based goIT sessions, entries to the monthly goIT Challenge, and independent submissions received before the deadline. These ongoing challenges highlight TCS’ dedication to engaging young people in impactful digital innovation work, encouraging them to explore STEM pathways and become active global citizens. Each challenge is designed to spark creative problem-solving and nurture future leaders who are committed to advancing sustainable and inclusive solutions.

Students may participate individually or as part of a team by submitting a one- to three-minute pitch video, a slide presentation, or a written proposal explaining how their technological concept tackles a specific global issue. They can choose to focus on any of the 17 SDGs that matter most to them or their communities.

Regional competitions will take place worldwide in early 2026, with top entrants from various locations moving on to the final round later that year. All participants will receive a certificate of achievement, and finalists will have opportunities to win prizes such as support to further develop their idea, gift cards, mentorship, speaking engagements, and more.

In North America, parents, guardians, and educators can submit student entries at the designated portal until 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2025: https://on.tcs.com/AMERS-IOTY.
