Discover the remarkable accomplishments unveiled in our latest report:

Economic Empowerment: We have generated a staggering US$2.9 billion in economic benefits for our host countries through a range of avenues, including taxes, wages, procurement, and community support. Since 2010, our contributions have skyrocketed to a monumental US$44 billion, fueling growth and prosperity in the economies of Kinross' cherished host nations.

Local Prosperity: Our unwavering commitment to fostering local talent shines through, as an astounding 99% of our dedicated workforce and an impressive 87% of our esteemed management hail from within our host countries. By empowering local communities, we build a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion: With an unwavering resolve to drive positive change, we have made remarkable strides in achieving our targets for diversity, equity, and inclusion. We proudly boast a remarkable 13.3% female participation within Kinross' workforce, the highest level reached in the past five years. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Uncompromising Safety Standards: We are proud to maintain an impeccable track record of zero reportable incidents at our tailings sites for a remarkable 30 consecutive years. With a steadfast commitment to safety, we have ensured independent reviews at 100% of our sites in the past three years, delivering peace of mind for our stakeholders.

Water Stewardship: Our dedication to responsible water usage has yielded impressive results. By processing more tons compared to the previous year and implementing substantial reductions in net water storage at Paracatu, our water intensity has declined by a remarkable 8% from 2021 to 2022. We remain resolute in our commitment to preserving this precious resource.

Climate Leadership: Pioneering a sustainable future, we have introduced our first-ever Climate Change Strategy, presenting a comprehensive roadmap to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Setting an interim target, we aim for a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity (per gold equivalent ounce basis) by 2030, building a greener legacy for generations to come.

ESG Excellence: Our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles has not gone unnoticed. In 2022, we achieved our highest S&P ESG Global rating, ranking in the 97th percentile—an unprecedented accomplishment for Kinross. Additionally, we have witnessed a remarkable 10-point improvement in our Sustainalytics risk rating score and maintained our prestigious 'A' position with MSCI for the third consecutive year. Our steadfast dedication to ESG principles remains unwavering.

Stellar Governance: Recognized as the leading mining company in The Globe and Mail's esteemed annual corporate governance ranking among Canadian companies, we scored an impressive 93 out of 100. Upholding strong governance practices, we ensure transparency and accountability at every level.
