Dailycsr.com – 31 January 2018 – SWA or the Scotch Whisky Association, revealed in an announcement that it will be putting an end to its use of “plastic straws across all its operations”.
Moreover, SWA will also “urge its members” to follow in its footsteps like “Bacardi, Pernod Ricard and Diageo”. According to Ethical Performance:
“Bacardi was among the first to call time on plastic straws and stirrers, banning their use across its events in 2016 in an effort to reduce waste as part of its ‘Good Spirited’ campaign”.
