DraftKings S.E.R.V.E.S: Planting a Greener Future with 1 Million Trees Worldwide
As part of our continuous effort to contribute to the communities in which we reside and operate, DraftKings S.E.R.V.E.S (Service, Equity, Responsibility, Vitality, Environment, Sports) is pleased to highlight the recent achievements of our employee volunteer projects focused on tree planting.
Collaborating with the Arbor Day Foundation, our team has significantly impacted crucial real-world issues such as biodiversity preservation, pollution mitigation, enhanced water quality, and the expansion of tree canopies to foster community development. Trees play a pivotal role in establishing healthier, safer, and more interconnected communities, and we take pride in the positive influence our employees have had in communities worldwide.
Through our enduring partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, DraftKings has successfully planted over 1 million trees globally, engaging in extensive reforestation efforts that have resulted in the restoration of nearly 3,500 acres. In September, we initiated a collective effort involving 250 DraftKings employees across seven cities globally, spanning a 10-week period, during which we planted over 750 trees. These events not only facilitated meaningful connections among our employees beyond the workplace but also contributed to the realization of a greener and more sustainable future for the communities we call home and work in.
