Logitech’s Sustainability Achievements: Four Years on the Dow Jones Index and More

Logitech International, listed on SIX (LOGN) and Nasdaq (LOGI), has proudly announced its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the fourth year running. The company has been recognized in the European DJSI, a benchmark for assessing performance and continuous improvement in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.

Prakash Arunkundrum, Logitech’s Chief Operating Officer, expressed his thoughts on the company’s commitment to sustainability. He emphasized the urgency of addressing global challenges and the importance of cross-industry collaboration to accelerate change. He expressed his honor at Logitech’s inclusion in the esteemed European DJSI and reiterated the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability.

Logitech has made significant strides in areas like Cybersecurity, Emissions, Product Stewardship, Climate Strategy, and Talent Attraction and Retention. These advancements underscore Logitech’s ongoing commitment to performance, accountability, and transparency.

Logitech’s transformative journey is centered around envisioning a positive future that challenges past norms and prioritizes scalable solutions. The company has set carbon reduction targets across its entire value chain (Scope 1, 2, and 3), which have been externally validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). The company’s design capabilities are geared towards discovering innovative materials, technologies, and processes that reduce carbon emissions and promote circular solutions at scale. A majority of their products use recycled material and low-carbon aluminum to minimize carbon impact.

In 2020, Logitech pledged to include detailed carbon impact labels on all its products to hold itself accountable for further carbon reductions. This year, over 42% of units shipped had a carbon impact study completed.

Logitech works with its suppliers to facilitate their transition to renewable electricity. This effort was recently acknowledged when Logitech ranked in the top 8% of companies on the CDP Supplier Engagement Leaderboard in 2023.

Logitech’s sustainability efforts have earned it several accolades. It received an “AAA” rating from MSCI, placing it in the top 9% of the global technology, hardware, and peripherals industry. It achieved “Prime” status in the ESG assessment conducted by Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), ranked in the top 1% of sustainable companies by EcoVadis with their platinum rating, and continues to be a Gender Fair certified company.
