Sands China Volunteers With Local Community Assemble Emergency Hygiene Kits

These kits will prove beneficial to Children International, a global charity that will distribute them to “families in need in the Philippines”.


Dailycsr.com – 31 December 2020 – Sands China Ltd. along with “local community groups” and nearly two hundred volunteers collaborated at the “The Venetian® Macao” to create “40,000 hygiene kits for Clean the World”, the latter is an “international social enterprise” that supplies essential hygiene products to people in need across the world, in an attempt to “prevent the spread of disease”.
 
The hygiene kits thus created enables the distribution of “emergency response hygiene kits” by Clean the World at the ground level where immediate supply is required during “crisis and disaster”. While, the President of Sands China Ltd., Dr. Wilfred Wong said:
“Sands China is pleased to continue promoting this impactful global corporate social responsibility initiative, having now supported Clean the World’s efforts for seven consecutive years. With the world currently navigating a new and challenging landscape due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more important than ever to continue initiatives like this so that areas in need can be better prepared to deal with times of crisis and difficulty. Our thanks go to the volunteers from the company and the community for coming together despite the unique challenges of this year to make the event a success again.”
 
On December, 4, 2020, the volunteers from Sands China, “Macau Association for the Mentally Handicapped, the Macau Autism Association and Fuhong Society of Macau” came together to assemble forty thousand hygiene kits. These kits will prove beneficial to Children International, a global charity that will distribute them to “families in need in the Philippines”. Every kit is comprised of recycled soap by Clean the World, face towels donated by “Linyi Standard Textile Trading Co., Ltd.”, and “dental kit” donated by “Ming Fai Enterprise International Co., Ltd.”
