Trane’s Revolutionary Product Range Reduces Customers’ Carbon Footprints

06/24/2016

Offering the HVAC solution, Trane introduces its new products.

Dailycsr.com – 23 June 2016 – Trane is a “brand of Ingersoll Rand”, which provides “indoor comfort solutions and services” has revealed a range of “revolutionary” new products which will help the customers in sustainability criteria and their commitments for the same in an efficient manner.

The said range comes with HVAC solution, whereby it offers “advanced heating, ventilation and air conditioning” solutions. This way, the products will enable cities and companies alike in reaching sustainable and efficiency goals, whereby launching “an expanded range of centrifugal chiller options in the United States and Canada”.

The products have high efficiency performance capacity and come with “next-generation, low global warming potential” or GWP refrigerants, for which Ingersoll Rand has endorsed them with “EcoWise” title. The latter is a “portfolio of products” which have been designed to bring down the environmental impact through “next generation, low global warming potential refrigerants and high-efficiency operation”.

According to Ethicalperformance:
“In 2017, Trane will offer small tonnage CenTraVac chillers with a choice of either R-123 or R-514A, a next generation, low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant from Chemours (marketed as Opteon™ XP30). R-514A is a next generation alternative to R-123 with similar efficiency and performance”.

The R-514A comes with “less than two” GWP, and is “non-ozone depleting, non-flammable, low pressure” and performs similarly like R-123. Moreover, converting “to R-514A” needs very minimal change, therefore customers may opt to “switch refrigerants on” their “existing units”.

Additionally, the U.S. and Canada will also get Trane’s “large tonnage” offer of “CenTraVac models CVHH (Simplex) and CDHH (Duplex™) with R-1233zd”, which are known for delivering “up to 17 percent better efficiency over competitive next generation chillers that use R-513A, and at least 13.5 percent better than chillers using HFCs today”.
