GRI Standards Are Now Available In French

03/30/2018

As “working language” differs from company to company, while GRI reporting standards remain constant, the GRI Standards have now been translated into various languages.

Dailycsr.com – 30 March 2018 – Over two hundred sixty organisations that speak French are using the “GRI framework” to deliver on sustainable reports whereby bringing in transparency about their “economic, social and environmental impacts”.

There is a good news for the companies who mainly use French as their “working language” for GRI Standards will now be available in French. A crow-funding campaign successfully raised the money for carrying out the translation of GRI rules, whereby ensuring “quality, consistency, accuracy and ease of use”.

As the transition period’s deadline, wherein companies have to switch from “G4 Guidelines to GRI’s Sustainability Reporting Standards ”, organisations will get a “clear, modular model” for working on their reports.

In fact, GRI Standards can be availed in other languages, whereby Ethical Performance reported:
“Interest in this campaign has helped to highlight the importance of having the GRI Standards available in other languages, to ensure that companies around the world have tools to talk about their impacts in a way that is accessible to all stakeholders. We have translations currently available in French, Indonesian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese. Translations into Arabic and German are being finalized and will be released shortly”.
