Dailycsr.com – 30 October 2020 – In a partnership the “Comerica Bank and the Detroit Lions” come together to “ensure first downs at Ford Field this season stretch further than 10 yards”. Every first down on Lions at Ford Field this season will contribute “$100” to “one of eight selected community partners” that fall under the “Comerica Bank Lions First Down partnership”.

In the words of the Vice President at Comerica Bank for the “Southeast Michigan External Affairs Market Manager”, Linda Nosegbe:
“During this great time of need, it remains vital that we work together and support the recovery of our communities. Our exceptional partnership with the Detroit Lions provides a unique platform to connect valuable resources to those who are struggling through impactful community services, initiatives and programs.”

With first “two home games” of the Lions, Comerica has made a donation of “$4,300 thus far”. Comerica Bank “Lions First Down Program” helped the “Capuchin Soup Kitchen” for the “Lions’ 2020 opening home game vs. the Chicago Bears” while for the “Lions second home game against the New Orleans Saints” contributions went to the “Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History”. Here is the list of the community partners for the remaining dates of 2020, as mentioned by Comerica Bank:

  • “Jan. 3 vs. Minnesota: St. Jude Children’s Hospital”

While, “Detroit Lions Executive Director of Corporate Partnerships”, Dan Lentz added:
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Comerica in 2020. This year, more than ever, it’s important to support and raise awareness around the work local non-profits are doing in the community. We can’t wait to see what type of impact the program will have this season.”
