Fifth Third Bank Wins Best Regional Mobile Banking App in 2025

Fifth Third Bank has been recognized by J.D. Power as offering the top mobile banking app experience among regional banks in its 2025 U.S. Banking Mobile App Satisfaction Study℠. The bank also earned the highest rating for Visual Appeal, according to survey participants.

Launched in 2022, Fifth Third’s next-generation mobile app is now trusted by more than 2.4 million users monthly. Designed to simplify money management, the app combines advanced functionality with ease of use and tailored features, including:
  • Early Pay Access & Real-Time Payments – Giving customers more financial control with faster access to funds and secure peer-to-peer transfers.
  • Modern Design & Personalized Experience – A sleek interface with intuitive navigation, including dark mode and themes based on customer preferences.
  • Simplified Onboarding for Direct Deposits – Making it easy for new users to set up their paychecks directly into their Fifth Third account.
  • SmartShield® – A unique in-app security feature that gamifies financial safety, offering users interactive tools to better protect their accounts.
  • Instant Credit Card Controls – Enabling users to lock or unlock cards instantly, offering convenience and peace of mind.
  • Live Card Tracking – Keeping customers informed on debit card processing and delivery in real time for greater transparency.
Throughout 2024, Fifth Third implemented hundreds of updates to its mobile app, underscoring its dedication to offering smart, responsive, and user-friendly digital banking solutions.

In addition to its mobile app accolades, Fifth Third also secured the top ranking for Retail Banking Customer Satisfaction in Florida for the second consecutive year, according to the 2025 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.
