Ecolab Is Committed To Provide Financial And In-Kind Support Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Ecolab donates to World Emergency Relief and commits to support the “National Restaurant Association Employee Relief Fund”.


Dailycsr.com – 21 April 2020 – Ecolab is a world leader in providing technology and services for “water, food safety” and preventing infection, whereby the company has made a donation of over “$1.7 million”, together in kind and financial figures to help in the ongoing crisis COVID-19 pandemic.
 
In the words of the chairman as well as the chief executive officer of Ecolab, Douglas M. Baker, Jr:
“We’re committed to supporting our customers, our employees and our communities during these challenging times. We’re proud to be in a position to partner with many organizations that are providing essential services to those in need as a result of the global pandemic.”
 
In the fight to curb the spread of coronavirus outbreak, Ecolab joined forces with the “World Emergency Relief” with a donation of over “205,000 pounds of cleaning and sanitizing products” worth over “$550,000”. These essential items were distributed to non-profit organisations in the U.S. Moreover, Ecolab has made a commitment of “$700,000” for supporting the efforts of United Way besides contributing to the “National Restaurant Association Employee Relief Fund” so as to help the restaurant workers during the crisis period.
 
Furthermore, one of the press release of the Ecolab mentioned:
“In St. Paul, Minn., home to Ecolab’s World Headquarters, the company is providing financial support to several organizations, including hunger relief organization Second Harvest Heartland, Higher Ground Saint Paul Shelter, multi-service agency Neighborhood House, youth social services provider Face to Face and the Saint Paul Bridge Fund, which is providing emergency relief to families and small businesses”.
