Chemours Company’s CEO and Chief Brand Officer recognized as 2 most influential black executives in corporate America
In a statement global chemistry giant, Chemours Company said, its CEO Mark Newman along with its Chief Brand Officer Alvenia Scarborough have been featured in 2022’s list of Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America.

Savoy compiled the list based on a competitive list of criteria, including the prominence of the company, prior recognition, respect amongst peers, dedication to diversity and inclusion, as well as overall career ascension.

Mark, the company’s second CEO, has made an immediate impact and ushered in a new chapter by focussing on innovative and sustainable solutions, environmental leadership, responsible manufacturing as well as societal and community impact, making Chemours a great place to work. 

Mark has been a vocal champion of diversity and inclusion and has relaunched Chemours’ Black Employee Network and acted as its initial executive sponsor. 

He also formed created and served as the executive sponsor of the Chemours Diversity and Inclusion Council, further embedding inclusion, diversity, and equity (ID&E) as a part of the company’s culture and ethos.
