Alimentaria Hostelco 2026 Set to Gather 3,300+ Companies in Barcelona for Global Food & Hospitality Showcase
Alimentaria+Hostelco 2026 will take place at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via Venue from March 23–26, 2026, strengthening its status as a key international meeting place for the food, hospitality, and foodservice industries. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alimentaria, the event will cover 100,000 square metres across seven halls, with international participation increasing by 41% compared with the 2024 edition.

More than 3,300 companies will participate in the show, including nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 70 countries—accounting for over 30% of the total. Europe will lead international representation, with Poland featured as the Country of Honour, while strong participation is also expected from Asia and Latin America. The global reach of the event is further highlighted by confirmed exhibitors such as KeHE Distributors, Bidfood, Bergfood, Cotswold Fayre, Sonae, PriceSmart, Walmart, Grupo Pão de Açúcar, La Comer, BigBasket, and Alkosto.

To encourage global trade and open new market opportunities, organisers will host around 1,500 international buyers and importers from 100 countries, along with 1,200 buyers from across Spain. More than 14,500 business meetings are expected to take place during the four-day event.

The 2026 edition will feature several specialised zones. Intercarn will remain the largest section, featuring 350 companies across 15,000 square metres. Other key segments will include Organic Foods, Alimentaria Trends, and Fine Foods—each highlighting innovation—as well as Grocery Foods, which will offer the fair’s widest range of products. Additional sectors will include Coffee, Bakery & Pastry (which will double its exhibition space), Interlact, Lands of Spain, Snacks, Biscuits & Confectionery, Expoconser, Restaurama, and International Pavilions.

Innovation will continue to be a major theme. Alimentaria Hub will host around 200 specialists discussing sustainability, digital transformation, food safety, and emerging industry trends. Meanwhile, Innoval will present more than 300 new products, along with 60 startup initiatives in the Food & Hospitality Startups area.

The hospitality segment will occupy more than 20,000 square metres and feature 600 companies alongside 200 activities. The Horeca Hub will host programmes such as Imagine Foodservice Europe and the new concept space called The Shift. The Bakery & Pastry Hub and The Coffee Stage will also bring together leading professionals from those sectors. Competitions scheduled during the event include the First International Alimentaria Cooking Championship, supported by #AlimentosDeEspaña, as well as the Horeca Awards and several professional culinary contests.

Organised by Alimentaria Exhibitions, part of Fira de Barcelona, the event is expected to attract more than 110,000 industry professionals, with international visitors accounting for about 25%. The fair continues to strengthen its reputation as a major global platform for business development, international expansion, and industry networking.
