Coca-Cola Recycle & Win Encourages Sustainable Habits

Making recycling habits fun and attractive, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated along with other partners creates Coca-Cola Recycle & Win.


Dailycsr.com – 19 February 2016 – The customers of the “City of Wilmington solid waste” take part in Coca-Cola Recycle & Win to make a difference in the environment in a fun manner. The Coca-Cola Recycle & Win is a private or public “partnership” that has been uniquely designed to encourage “local recycling participation” while bringing down the level of contamination.
 
It helps the City of Wilmington solid waste’s office in maintaining “low trash rates” besides protecting the environment. Moreover, if a customer is seen following a proper recycling method, the respective customer gets rewarded with “a $50 Harris Teeter gift card”.
 
The Mayor of Wilmington, Bill Saffo says:
"Recycling is an important part of our goal to encourage and support environmental responsibility in Wilmington. Increasing the recycling participation rate is one way we intend to build a sustainable community. This effort reinforces the City’s support for the County’s public/private partnership bringing a recycling sorting facility to our local area this spring. The City wants to ensure customers are not only recycling, but recycling the proper materials and supporting the local materials recovery facility.”
 
While, the United States’ Congressman, David Rouzer added:
“Initiatives like the Coca-Cola Recycle & Win program are very important to growing North Carolina’s recycling economy and creating jobs based on the recovery of materials. I’m excited to see this program develop and am grateful for the leadership of Coca-Cola, Harris Teeter, and the City of Wilmington.”
 
The Coca-Cola Recycle & Win program is a result of a joint investment of “over $150,000” made by the “Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated”. The same initiative also offers a direct mail educational packet” which sent all the single families present in the list of “City of Wilmington solid waste customers” and are from Wilmington.
