ONLYOFFICE has released version 10.0, its major autumn update, bringing context-aware artificial intelligence (AI) tools directly into its editors, four new modular apps and enhanced security protections. The release includes approximately 50 new features and more than 1,000 fixes across its online, desktop and mobile applications.
Context-Aware AI Tools Across Every Editor
The ONLYOFFICE 10.0 update integrates AI capabilities into its document, spreadsheet, presentation and PDF editors. A dedicated AI tab with an integrated chat interface enables users to draft content, summarize documents, translate text, refine writing and improve formatting without leaving their files or transferring information to an external tool.
These AI-powered document editors are designed to simplify everyday tasks across different industries. Legal professionals can summarize contracts, analysts can create forecasts and Pivot Tables, while managers can transform initial ideas into organized presentations.
Users can also access ready-made prompts, create custom AI actions, configure assistants and save frequently used prompts. These features help teams automate repetitive work and establish more efficient workflows.
Organizations retain control over their AI deployments and can select models according to their requirements for performance, speed and cost. Cloud users can activate ONLYOFFICE AI through OpenRouter, while server installations can connect to a wider range of models, including locally hosted options. This flexibility allows organizations to keep sensitive information within their own infrastructure.
Four New Modular Apps Expand ONLYOFFICE Docs
The release introduces four free apps that extend ONLYOFFICE Docs, which is distributed under the AGPL v3 licence.
- AI Agents: Automate workspace activities through intelligent search, personalized knowledge bases and advanced reasoning, with support for MCP servers.
- Forms: Simplify data collection and help users analyze submitted responses.
- Files: Bring document storage into a centralized environment with access controls.
- Rooms: Enable secure collaboration and support Virtual Data Rooms for handling confidential information.
The new modular apps are enabled by default for cloud users. Organizations running server deployments can install them using a single command, simplifying setup and integration.
Improvements to PDF, Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations
ONLYOFFICE 10.0 delivers enhancements across its core editors, introducing new tools and productivity improvements.
The PDF Editor gains metadata removal, customizable annotations, automatic table recognition and reusable signatures.
In the Document Editor, collaborators can follow one another’s cursors in real time. A new “Keep with next” option helps prevent related content from being separated across pages, while right-to-left (RTL) text support has also been improved.
The Spreadsheet Editor receives performance optimizations, formula hints and an animated copy marquee to make spreadsheet work more responsive.
Meanwhile, the Presentation Editor adds new viewing modes, expanded printing options and the ability to export slides as GIFs or videos.
Other additions include support for OFD files, the option to save spreadsheets in XLS format, conversion of SVG graphics into editable shapes and the ability to add Data Tables to charts. The redesigned Plugin Manager also supports plugins including Antidote, Curly and Salesforce.
Security Enhancements Address 35 Vulnerabilities
Security is another major focus of the ONLYOFFICE 10.0 release. The update addresses 35 vulnerabilities, strengthening safeguards for organizations that work with confidential documents and other sensitive information.
These changes come as businesses increasingly adopt AI-powered tools and face evolving cybersecurity risks.
Desktop and Mobile Apps Receive New Features
The ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors feature a refreshed home screen, redesigned Templates and Clouds sections, Odoo integration and visual refinements for Linux users. In Desktop Community, AI capabilities are available through an optional add-on.
The free iOS and Android applications also receive new AI features, including an assistant supporting additional providers such as Grok and DeepSeek. AI AutoFill for forms and voice input further expand the options available to users working on mobile devices.
With its combination of integrated AI tools, new modular apps, editor enhancements and security fixes, ONLYOFFICE 10.0 aims to make document creation and collaboration more efficient across cloud, desktop and mobile environments.
