Chemours 2024 Sustainability Report: Trusted Chemistry & Pathway to Thrive
The past year has been transformative for Chemours, defined by meaningful change and impressive progress that has infused the company with renewed energy and fresh perspectives.

We revisited and strengthened our core values—Safety, Integrity, Partnership, Ownership, and Respect—drawing on input from thousands of employees. Alongside this, we introduced a new corporate vision: to deliver trusted chemistry that enhances lives and helps communities prosper.

This vision, Trusted Chemistry, is more than a statement of aspiration—it provides direction. It influences how we operate our facilities, drives innovation, and shapes the way we engage with stakeholders. It represents a commitment to act with integrity, innovate responsibly, and harness the power of chemistry to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges.

To turn this vision into action, we launched our corporate strategy, Pathway to Thrive. Built on four key pillars—Operational Excellence, Enabling Growth, Portfolio Management, and Long-Term Strength—this roadmap is designed to secure Chemours’ growth and success while deepening our commitments to customers, communities, and the planet. Sustainability is embedded in this strategy, aligning business results with safe, efficient operations and investments in sustainable innovations that support fast-growing industries.

Guided by our Trusted Chemistry vision, we remain steadfast in advancing both our corporate strategy and sustainability objectives. Sustainability is essential—it safeguards our license to operate, differentiates our offerings, fulfills customer needs, and builds resilience for the future. It also plays a central role in executing our Pathway to Thrive strategy.

I am pleased to highlight key milestones from our 2024 Sustainability Report, all made possible by the dedication of our people:
  • We began updating our Corporate Responsibility Commitments (CRC), introducing new aspirational statements that allow flexibility to expand or add goals in the future. Since their launch in 2018, both our company and the global context have changed, and this refresh will better align our CRC with our Pathway to Thrive strategy, our Trusted Chemistry vision, and evolving external priorities.
  • We achieved a 76% reduction in fluorinated organic chemical (FOC) process emissions globally since 2018 and remain on course to cut Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 60% by 2030, moving toward net-zero by 2050.
  • We completed our first Double Materiality Assessment, giving us deeper insight into the sustainability issues most critical to our business and stakeholders. These insights are guiding the refresh of our CRC goals to ensure they are strategic, impactful, and aligned with both our corporate strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • We met our 2030 target for Sustainable Offerings six years ahead of schedule and introduced EVOLVE 2030 Version 2.0, an enhanced sustainability assessment framework for our portfolio. This updated approach, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, further integrates sustainability into product development and business decision-making.
Reflecting on our accomplishments and the opportunities ahead, I feel both pride and optimism. Together, we will continue to deliver trusted chemistry while building a more sustainable future. In this spirit, and in line with our strategy, I am reaffirming our commitment to the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
