Justin Dycus Leads Pee Dee River Restoration for Duke Energy

Senior Environmental Consultant Justin Dycus has a lifelong connection to the Pee Dee River, where he spent his childhood fishing. Now, he plays a key role in Duke Energy’s mission to bring the river back to life.

In his role, Justin focuses on monitoring water quality, studying fish populations, and rehabilitating natural habitats throughout the Carolinas.

Through efforts such as electrofishing surveys and spawning research, he’s helping species like the American shad return to waterways they haven’t inhabited in more than 100 years.
