Telemundo Launches Tu Momento Tu Jugada Community Sports Initiative
Telemundo has unveiled Tu Momento. Tu Jugada., also known as Telemundo’s Next Play, a nationwide sports and community initiative designed to highlight how athletics can positively shape character, teamwork, and leadership. Backed by Comcast NBCUniversal, this grassroots effort reaches across multiple sports and regions, blending mentorship, live experiences, and local collaborations to empower young people with confidence, connection, and leadership skills that extend beyond the game.

At its core, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. is driven by the belief that sports have the power to uplift entire communities. The lessons learned through competition—perseverance, discipline, cooperation, and integrity—mirror the values that help families and neighborhoods grow stronger. The initiative aims to spotlight emerging leaders, reinforce local organizations, and inspire communities to build a future rooted in the principles that sports instill.

The program launches on December 11 in the San Francisco Bay Area, marking the six-month countdown to the start of FIFA World Cup 26. From there, it will travel through eight Telemundo and Comcast NBCUniversal markets, including Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Through a nationwide mobile tour, youth training clinics, fan activations, and community partnerships, the initiative will bring the excitement and spirit of the world’s premier sporting event directly into local neighborhoods.

A Nationwide Community Movement
Bringing together families, educators, entrepreneurs, youth advocates, and fans, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. channels enthusiasm for sports into leadership development, collaboration, and community empowerment. With the World Cup returning to North America for the first time in more than three decades, the initiative will connect and energize communities through live programming, mentorship opportunities, and strategic alliances, including:
  • National Mobile Experience Tour: A branded Telemundo and Comcast NBCUniversal mobile hub will visit key cities—San Francisco Bay Area, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.—serving as the centerpiece for community festivals and fan experiences. Activations will feature interactive elements, appearances by Telemundo personalities, and the signature excitement of the network’s iconic “¡GOOOOL!” celebration.
  • Digital Storytelling Series: Compelling stories highlighting perseverance and leadership from grassroots heroes, rising athletes, and community figures shaping Latino sports culture, shared across Telemundo’s digital, social, and El Poder En Ti platforms.
  • Café Golazo Community Breakfasts: Gatherings in World Cup host cities that bring together civic leaders, youth organizations, and local partners to discuss long-term community impact, investment, and opportunity.
  • Large-Scale Watch Parties: Inclusive, high-energy viewing events for the tournament’s most anticipated matches.
  • Yes, Coach! Expansion: In partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Telemundo will grow the Yes, Coach! initiative—training 100,000 coaches to mentor three million young people—through a new bilingual platform and public service campaign airing across Telemundo and Comcast NBCUniversal networks ahead of the tournament.

As Telemundo enters its eighth consecutive year as the official Spanish-language media partner of the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. continues to expand opportunities for Latino youth, support grassroots sports development, and encourage entrepreneurship at the community level.
