FedEx Wins 2025 Citizens Award for Combating Childhood Hunger with Feed the Children

11/07/2025

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Corporate Citizenship Center has recognized FedEx as the 2025 Citizens Award winner in the Best Community Improvement Program category. The award highlights the company’s partnership with Feed the Children, a collaboration launched in 2023 to combat childhood food insecurity through a year-round, hub-based support model. By combining FedEx’s logistics expertise with Feed the Children’s community outreach, the initiative ensures that students and families receive the essentials they need through local school systems—working toward a future where no child’s potential is limited by hunger or lack of basic supplies.

Across the nation, countless families must choose between essentials like food, rent, and school materials. This program tackles those challenges directly by delivering nutritious meals, personal care items, and school supplies through participating school districts—creating a reliable, respectful system for accessing necessities.

Beyond short-term aid, the initiative integrates logistics, education, and community feedback to build a scalable model that can be adapted to both urban and rural areas. Leaders from FedEx and Feed the Children remain actively engaged to ensure the program continues to align with broader social impact goals.

“FedEx is proud to partner with Feed the Children to provide nutritious food, personal care and household items, school supplies, and books through our Food & Essentials Hubs,” said Jenny Robertson, SVP of Marketing & Communications at FedEx. “Our team members take great pride in supporting their communities through hands-on programs and volunteer efforts. We’re committed to strengthening local neighborhoods and driving positive global change—starting right where we live and work.”

Through FedEx Cares, team members combine their passion and professional expertise with nonprofit partners like Feed the Children to address critical social issues and drive meaningful change.
