Entergy remains committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. This November, we kicked off our “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” initiative, centered on providing community support and hosting food drives to help reduce food insecurity for vulnerable residents across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
Thanksgiving has traditionally been an important moment to address hunger and offer assistance to families in need. This year, rising costs have created even greater challenges for many households. In response, Entergy employees joined with local partners to offer support and ensure our neighbors felt cared for.
“At Entergy, our strongest asset is our dedication to the communities where we live, work and serve,” said Patty Riddlebarger, vice president of corporate social responsibility. “This effort is not only about supplying meals; it’s about bringing hope and ensuring everyone has a place at the holiday table.”
Throughout November, Entergy employees led numerous efforts—from fundraising and canned food collections to turkey giveaways and support for food banks—all aimed at helping customers during the holiday season.

Throughout November, Entergy employees led numerous efforts—from fundraising and canned food collections to turkey giveaways and support for food banks—all aimed at helping customers during the holiday season.
Key efforts included:
- Entergy Corporation, Entergy Louisiana and Entergy New Orleans: Worked alongside the United Way of Southeast Louisiana, Second Harvest Food Bank, Northshore Food Bank, Our Daily Bread, Community Center of St. Bernard, Giving Hope and the Junior League of New Orleans to gather nonperishable items and diapers. Entergy New Orleans also partnered for the sixth year with the Einstein Charter School Turkey Drive, helping feed more than 100 families.
- Entergy Arkansas: Contributed $40,000 to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, The Salvation Army and local pantries, and organized food drives to collect essential items. Employees also volunteered with food bank distributions, including those supporting federal workers affected by the recent government shutdown, and participated in the Red Kettle Campaign.
- Entergy Mississippi: Teamed up with Extra Table for the “Give ‘Em a Bird” fundraiser, distributing over 9,000 chickens and raising important funds to assist families across the state.
- Entergy Texas: Donated $30,000 to support local food banks working to reduce hunger among vulnerable populations.
Through all these efforts, Entergy continues to stand by our communities—providing support, strengthening connections and offering hope, especially during difficult times.
