Webster Bank Welcomes Kelly Giordano as Managing Director of Philanthropy

Webster Bank has recently welcomed Kelly Giordano as the new Managing Director of Philanthropy. She is now part of the Office of Corporate Responsibility team, which is responsible for the Bank’s Community Investment Strategy, worth $6.5 billion over several years.

Giordano’s responsibilities include overseeing the Bank’s philanthropic strategy, grantmaking programs, and community sponsorships. She will also be in charge of the Webster Bank Charitable Foundation’s activities and lead bankwide initiatives such as the Bank’s United Way Workplace Campaign.

Weidner added that they are excited to utilize Giordano’s expertise to enhance Webster’s philanthropic and community engagement efforts.

She also spent more than 10 years as Managing Director at Newman’s Own Foundation, where she managed the organization’s global grants budget. Earlier in her career, Giordano worked as a vice president in Lehman Brothers’ Corporate Philanthropy group and as Assistant Treasurer of The Lehman Brothers Foundation. During her time there, she developed and managed the firm’s Employee Giving Campaign and Nonprofit Board Placement program.
