Reinhardt on her internship experience at Walmart.

Dailycsr.com – 25 November 2016 - Washington University’s M.B.A student, Heather Reinhardt, from St. Louis, reports about her internship at Walmart’s “pricing strategy team” which she considers as a “privilege”.
“Growing up I had always heard Walmart’s mission: Help people save money so they can live better. It always seemed honest and real, but I wondered if it was really true”.

On receiving her offer, Reinhardt got flown by Walmart to Arkansas’ home office along with other “prospective interns”. In this way, the retail corporation provided the interns the scope of seeing things by themselves. Reinhardt was inspired by Doug’s word to sign up for the Walmart internship offer, hearing the latter say:
“Let’s work together to serve our customers, grow our company, and take care of one another.”

Moreover, Reinhardt observes that in the same month only Walmart provided “raises to 1.2 million hourly associates in the U.S.” For Reinhardt, the period of internship at Walmart was the chance to witness first-hand the “company’s commitment to its mission”. Furthermore, last year, in the month of June, Reinhardt also got to take part in Walmart’s annual event of “‘Made in the USA’ Open Call”, wherein over one thousand entrepreneurs came to Bentonville to attend the ceremony which is supporting the “$250 billion investment” drive of Walmart in the manufacturing sector of the U.S.

Heather Reinhardt’s words:
“Whether they’re helping to bring manufacturing jobs back to communities across the U.S. or investing in the future of their people, Walmart is using its size and scale for good in the 28 countries where they operate. I'm proud to be associated with a company whose work makes a real difference on the real issues that matter to all of us, while driving meaningful change in a way that no other company can.
“Walmart is truly making big bets and bold goals”.
