Tetra Tech partners with 2XCollaborative, to promote gender equality and social inclusion.

With decades of experience in implementing energy projects with gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) components, Tetra Tech is viewed as an experienced player in this space.

Its GEDSI interventions have improved economic opportunities for women and girls, encouraged men and boys to break prejudice and defend gender equality, while helping its clients to qualify for a smart investment.

Using the Engendering Industries program funded by the US Agency for International Development, Tetra Tech is promoting gender equality in male-dominated industries by supporting nearly 100 organizations in 38 countries.

To advance its commitments to GEDSI globally, Tetra Tech is joining the 2XCollaborative, a global organization focused on increasing the volume and impact of capital on the economic empowerment of women globally.

“Tetra Tech is Leading with Science® to deliver solutions that build climate resilience, power better health, and advance inclusive economic prosperity around the world,” said Llyr Rowlands, Tetra Tech’s Unit President. “We are eager to engage with our fellow 2XCollaborative members to increase investment in gender-smart solutions for these critical challenges.”

“We are delighted to welcome Tetra Tech to 2XCollaborative and look forward to their contributions and perspectives as one of the few technical consulting firms. art among our members. Tetra Tech's global experience on the link between gender and sustainable energy can provide valuable insights for our working groups, such as the Community of Climate Finance and Gender Practices. 2X,” said Jessica Espinoza, 2XCollaborative’s CEO.

Earlier this year, Tetra Tech's Global Development Services Department endorsed the Gender Inclusion Minimum Standards, aimed at supporting its corporate mission; it also strengthens the foundation of its business, which in turn allows it to serve its customers, partners and communities more efficiently and fairly.

Doing so also brings in more accountability and transparency in documenting progress on its journey towards ever more gender equality.
