Super Micro Computer Inc, a provider of AI, enterprise, storage, and 5G/edge solutions, has announced the launch of its largest U.S. facility. This new Data Center Building Block Solutions® (DCBBS) campus, along with a major expansion of its Silicon Valley presence, includes a cutting-edge business complex located near its headquarters in San Jose, California.
The new site covers roughly 32.8 acres and more than 714,000 square feet, making it the company’s fourth location in the Bay Area and increasing its total regional space to nearly 4 million square feet. The campus will enable a broad range of domestic activities, including advanced system design, manufacturing, testing, servicing, and global distribution of its DCBBS offerings for AI infrastructure.
According to CEO Charles Liang, the new campus represents a strong commitment to U.S.-based innovation and manufacturing. Expanding operations in San Jose is expected to create high-quality professional opportunities while strengthening the company’s ability to innovate, scale production, and deliver next-generation AI infrastructure efficiently.
The expansion is projected to generate hundreds of new roles across engineering, manufacturing, and business functions, reinforcing the company’s long-term investment in local talent and domestic production capabilities.
San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan noted that the expansion enhances the city’s role in the global AI ecosystem by boosting manufacturing, testing, and distribution capacity. He emphasized that the investment will drive economic growth, create skilled jobs, and support the development of advanced AI infrastructure.
As demand for AI systems continues to rise worldwide, the company is increasing its U.S. capabilities to support enterprises and cloud providers managing complex, compute-intensive workloads. Its integrated approach—from system design to full rack-scale solutions—helps accelerate deployment, improve energy efficiency, and lower overall costs for modern data centers.
The new facilities are designed to meet the growing demands of large-scale AI deployments, where efficient rack-level integration and rapid rollout are essential. They will strengthen support for hyperscale, cloud, and enterprise customers building AI-focused infrastructure, while reinforcing the company’s position as a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of high-performance computing systems.
DCBBS offers a modular, end-to-end AI infrastructure solution built from validated components and subsystems. It provides flexibility across deployment levels, from individual GPUs and networking equipment to complete racks, site infrastructure, management tools, and professional services.
