Dailycsr.com – 22 October 2017 – In a partnership, the Keep Phoenix Beautiful, the “City of Phoenix”, “911Day.org and Cities of Service” carried out a “9/11 Day of Service event” dedicated to the “brave heroes” of the dismal day. Furthermore, the event was also used as a platform to introduce “Keep Phoenix Beautiful’s Community Garden”.

The said day has been recognised by the federation as the “national day of remembrance”, whereby honouring the same day “a host of community service opportunities have been made available to volunteers across the country”.

The “9/11 Day of Service event” of Keep Phoenix Beautiful included the Councilman of Phoenix City, Michael Nowakowski’s speech, while the chief executive officer as the president of Keep Phoenix Beautiful, Tom Waldeck’s attention was focussed on the launching of the “community garden” which is newly located at the “18th Avenue and Pierson Street in Phoenix”.

According to the Ethical Performance:
“Keep Phoenix Beautiful received a $25,000 Keep America Beautiful/Lowe's Community Partners Grant to transform the community garden into a vibrant garden and education space with composting, demonstration gardens, a solar greenhouse built by ASU students, and much more. Lowe's Heroes from Phoenix stores as well as across Arizona came to the garden to install a fence around the site, while community volunteers mulched and planted”.
