10/02/2025

PBF Energy Inc has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, outlining its initiatives to promote sustainable operations, strengthen community relationships, and uphold the level of transparency its stakeholders expect.

“Our focus remains on identifying new opportunities for lowering emissions, developing circular economy solutions, and advancing low-carbon product innovations that contribute to a cleaner energy future,” said Matthew Lucy, President and CEO.

Key highlights from the report include:
Since 2013, the company has cut absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by more than 30%, with about one-third of those reductions achieved in just the past three years. This progress reflects ongoing improvements in operational efficiency and refining processes. 2024 marked a milestone for renewable fuel production, as the Saint Bernard Renewables biorefinery completed its first full year producing renewable diesel. The facility, a joint venture with Enilive S.p.A., plays an important role in expanding PBF’s product portfolio. Across all refining sites, employees supported their local communities through both financial contributions and volunteer work, underscoring PBF’s commitment to community partnerships.
PBF reaffirms its dedication to environmental responsibility, safe and dependable operations, and open communication.
