Now in its seventh year, Maytag—part of Whirlpool Corporation—continues to strengthen its long-term partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. During this year’s annual Day of Dependability, the brand hosted 300 youth and staff members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan for a Thanksgiving-themed dinner and an evening of activities on November 20.

The celebration took place at the Boys & Girls Club’s Fettig Youth Campus in Benton Harbor, beginning with the national anthem and a blessing over the meal. Maytag volunteers served guests fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and other dishes inspired by classic Thanksgiving favorites. The evening also featured a range of entertainment, including a 360-degree photo booth, a silent disco, and face painting.

“We’re grateful for the chance to support our local club and create a night filled with food, entertainment, and fun,” said Emily Pines, Maytag Brand Manager. “Keeping this tradition alive for seven years demonstrates our continued dependability and dedication to this community.”
Since 2003, Maytag has backed Boys & Girls Clubs of America both locally and nationwide by engaging more than 6,000 volunteers, contributing over $9 million in donations and scholarships, and recognizing outstanding mentors through the Maytag Dependable Leader Award. Together, Maytag and Boys & Girls Clubs of America remain committed to empowering and uplifting young people.

“Our partnership with Maytag is rooted in trust, consistency, and a shared belief in dependability,” said Alloyd Blackmon, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan. “This annual dinner is a reminder of what dependability truly looks like—partners and volunteers who show up, support our youth, and make a lasting difference in their communities.”
