The 27th Annual Texas Trailblazer Awards luncheon, hosted by The Family Place, the foremost provider of family violence services in Texas, took place on October 10. During the event, Mary Kay Inc. CEO Ryan Rogers was presented with the prestigious Texas Trailblazer Award in recognition of his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of women in Texas and worldwide.

Ryan Rogers, the grandson of the legendary founder of the beauty brand, Mary Kay Ash, has played a pivotal role in upholding and advancing the mission of the Mary Kay Ash Foundation. Since its establishment in 1996, the foundation has contributed over $92 million to causes closely aligned with the brand's values, focusing on women's cancer research and the fight against domestic violence. These funds have played a crucial role in supporting women's shelters, organizations providing domestic violence services, and groundbreaking cancer research initiatives across the United States.

The luncheon was co-chaired by Lindsay Jacaman and Holly Krug and was hosted by NBC5 anchor Meredith Land, with actress Brooke Shields as the keynote speaker.

In addition to Ryan Rogers, the event also honored other notable figures. Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia and State Representative Victoria Neave Criado received the Legislative Impact Award for their pivotal role in the enactment of Texas House Bill 5202. This transformative law, signed on June 11, establishes a violent offender database, a vital tool in combating repeat violent offenses.

Mimi Sterling, CEO of The Family Place, praised Ryan Rogers for his dedication to addressing domestic violence and driving positive change. She highlighted his commitment to carrying forward a legacy of genuine community impact, empowering numerous survivors of domestic violence to rebuild their lives with newfound strength and hope.

Ryan Rogers now joins the ranks of past Texas Trailblazers Award recipients, including former Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Paige Flink, Gloria Campos, Charlotte Jones, Lynn McBee, and Dr. Michael Sorrell. Under his leadership, Mary Kay continues to champion causes that uplift and support women, staying true to his grandmother's vision of enriching women's lives globally.
