This year’s project of “ENERGY STAR Day” comes under the “Building a Healthy Neighborhood program” that is being carried out across the country.

Dailycsr.com – 29 October 2020 – LG Electronics USA commemorated the “ENERGY STAR® Day” 2020 by partnering with “Lowe’s and Rebuilding Together” initiative whereby helping local families to become energy efficient with the use of “ENERGY STAR certified LG home appliances” in order to “save today, save tomorrow and save for good”.

By using “ENERGY STAR upgrades” five families in Charlotte will be able to experience a better life “during and after the pandemic” while saving money in the long run. The EPA, “Environmental Protection Agency” of the U.S., estimates that “on average” a house with “ENERGY STAR certified appliances” save over “$700” over the “products’ lifetime”.

This year’s project of “ENERGY STAR Day” comes under the “Building a Healthy Neighborhood program” that is being carried out across the country whereby volunteer, local organisers, community leaders as well as neighbours come together to create a neighbourhood with “safe, affordable, accessible homes and thriving community spaces”.

For every house upgrade, LG gave a “ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2020” designated” refrigerator, dryer, a washing machine and a dishwasher which comes with an ENERGY STAR certificate, while Lowe could the charge of delivering the same. Moreover, the kitchen upgrade under “Rebuilding Together” included “a range hood and new LG electric or gas range” installation. According to LG’s press release:
“In some of the homes, Lowe’s and Rebuilding Together installed the brand new LG WashTower, which combines energy efficiency with convenient controls, built-in intelligence and advanced cleaning. With an exclusive form factor, the LG WashTower offers a full-size ENERGY STAR certified dryer above a full-size ENERGY STAR front-load washer. (ENERGY STAR certified washers and dryers use 25 percent less energy and 33 percent less water than traditional models.)
“The deserving families’ new LG ENERGY STAR certified dishwasher features exclusive QuadWash technology that gets dishes clean the first time with four powerful spray arms instead of the standard two – saving water by eliminating the need to prewash or rewash dishes by hand. The dishwasher uses two separate blasts of real steam for better cleaning, drying and sanitizing”.

In fact, LG has been named the “2020 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year-Sustained Excellence” while also bagging “Lowe’s Sustainability Award” as a mark of recognition of LG’s work to promote energy savings, to achieve zero carbon emission, to minimize pollution and waste and to design recycling programmes.
