Dailycsr.com – 21 April 2020 – With COVID-19 pandemic spread across the world, recourses are getting strained, whereby manufacturing units are reshuffling their line of production so as to supply critical products. Likewise, one of International Papers decided to join in to help the supply chain deficiency and for the same it turned to International Paper.

A. Lava & Son Co. produces mattress covers and happens to be the largest one in the U.S.A. which along with “Beverly Knits, Hanes Brands and Parkdale Mills”, in a consortium of textile companies brought together their textile expertise to produce “face coverings for essential frontline responders”.

Nearly “630,000 masks” manufactured for healthcare and frontline workers needed to be transported all over the country. And for this the company turned to its supplier. International Paper is coordinating “hundreds of thousands” boxes to be moved all over the world with the commitment to “donate 5,000 boxes to the cause”. In the words of the e-commerce’s National Account Manager at International Paper, Michael Ducham:
“We all have a role to play during this crisis. I’m glad we can support the movement of critical supplies to the many dedicated frontline workers who are saving lives.”
