Infor Community Survey Reveals Rapid Cloud and AI Adoption Trends

02/12/2026

RPI Consultants, an established provider of ERP implementation, optimization, and software services, has published results from its third annual State of the Infor Community Survey. The research gathered feedback from both legacy Lawson users and cloud-based ERP customers to identify emerging patterns in modernization efforts, AI adoption, and organizational preparedness within the Infor landscape.

Cloud migration among Infor customers is accelerating, with almost double the number of organizations currently transitioning their financial and HCM platforms compared to the previous year. Although Lawson is supported until 2030, many service-driven organizations are starting their cloud transformation initiatives now, acknowledging the time and planning required for a successful migration.

AI usage is also expanding rapidly. The survey indicates that AI adoption has more than doubled year over year, with 46% of participants reporting active use, up from 20% last year. This increase reflects a growing interest in using intelligent automation and analytics to enhance operations and decision-making.

However, the findings also reveal potential gaps in readiness. For the first time, the survey included questions about testing practices, showing that 42% of respondents still use manual testing scripts, while 38% only address issues when they occur. This suggests many organizations are modernizing without structured testing frameworks, which could increase risk as system complexity grows.

“We conduct this survey to capture insights directly from practitioners who work with these systems daily,” said Richard Leigh Stout, Partner at RPI Consultants. “The data shows significant progress in modernization but also underscores the need for organizations to reinforce their foundational processes to maximize long-term benefits.”

The survey was conducted from December 8, 2025, to January 9, 2026, with respondents from IT, HR, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, primarily in healthcare and public sector organizations.
