Hormel Foods Corporation recognized for its internship program

This is not the first time that Hormel Foods’s leading internship program has been recognized by Vault-Firsthand.

Hormel Foods Corporation, a Fortune 500 global branded food company, announced that its internship program has been named to the 2023 Vault Best Internships ranking.

The internship program at the company was recognized in the categories of best internships for the retail and consumer products industries, as well as top engineering roles.

“Our internship program is an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a career with us and experience all that working for an industry-leading Fortune 500 company can offer. We’re currently recruiting interns to start with us over the summer of 2023 for our manufacturing facilities, sales offices and corporate locations,” said Amy Sheehan, Hormel Foods’ director of talent acquisition.

“Those who are interested and want to make a difference by feeding families around the world can view our current openings and apply at hormelfoods.com/careers.”

The ranking was compiled by Vault-Firsthand, which polled over 10,800 current and former interns in summer 2022. They were asked to rate their internship experiences in the following categories:
  • Industry and employment factors
  • Quality of life
  • Interview press
  • Career development
  • Full-time employment prospects
  • Diversity
This is not the first time the Hormel Foods internship program has received recognition for providing students with valuable experience. In addition to previous mentions from Vault and others, the company received national acclaim when it quickly developed a virtual internship program in spring 2020, at a time when COVID-19 was causing most major companies to rescind their internship offers entirely. Hormel Foods has a long history of converting interns into full-time employees after they graduate.
