Tornadoes ripped through many Southeast communities last week. To assist those affected by the storms, The Home Depot Foundation is collaborating with Habitat for Humanity, Team Rubicon, The American Red Cross, and other non-profit organizations.

Team Depot volunteers recently delivered nearly 1,000 disaster relief kits and other relief supplies to a community distribution site in Griffin, Georgia, before spending the day cleaning up downed trees and removing debris from surrounding neighborhoods. They also provided water to the locals.

Two of The Home Depot Foundation's national partners, Team Rubicon and World Central Kitchen, are also assisting in the restoration of impacted communities in and around Selma, Alabama. Team Rubicon volunteers are assisting in the removal of trees and debris, as well as performing home repairs as needed. As everyone leaned into cleanup efforts, World Central Kitchen has been providing meals for community members and emergency workers.

The Home Depot Foundation is dedicated to assisting communities with natural disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. The Foundation is able to provide immediate support, resources, and relief supplies to communities in need thanks to the assistance of several non-profit partners. The Home Depot Foundation has committed more than $5.5 million to disaster response efforts through 2022.
