At Booz Allen, engineering meets with cyber security under women leadership.

Dailycsr.com- 25 March 2018 – Booz Allen Hamilton recognises the “Women’s History Month” and turns on the spotlights to focus on “some of its most influential women leaders”. Meet Patricia Goforth is the leader of “engineering and science business” of the firm who deals with defence as well as “intelligence clients”.

The team under Patricia dedicates their time on designing, developing and deploying of “engineering, science and C4ISR solutions” which would be befitting for the “critical goals” set forward by the clients as their missions.

In the podcast of “Women of Washington” on the Federal News Radio, Patricia takes up the discussion on the requirement of balancing engineering process discipline with the growing cyber threats. In her words:
“For large, complex systems you go through a very complicated process when making design decisions, and you try to take into account what the expected cyber threat might be and potential cyber intrusions. But then the unexpected happens, so you have to be agile in your design.”
