GoDaddy: Cultivating an Ethical Culture with High Standards and Trust

06/29/2023

At GoDaddy, we place a strong emphasis on fostering an honest and ethical environment throughout our organization. This commitment starts from the highest levels, including our Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, and leadership team. We recognize the importance of earning and maintaining the trust of our stakeholders, while also promoting a culture of transparency and integrity among our employees, customers, and business partners. We take this responsibility very seriously.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards, understanding the dynamic nature of the global business landscape. It is crucial for us to proactively assess and adapt to these changes. Our dedication to professional and ethical conduct means we are vigilant in monitoring and promptly responding to shifting global dynamics.

GoDaddy has established a comprehensive Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, which outlines our unwavering commitment to conducting business with honesty and integrity. This code serves as a set of guiding principles that apply to all our employees, officers, and directors.

To ensure that our workforce fully comprehends and adheres to the code and its requirements, we make it mandatory for all GoDaddy employees to complete our Do the Right Thing (DTRT) training during the onboarding process. Additionally, we have increased the frequency of our ongoing DTRT refresher trainings to an annual basis as of 2022, aiming to enhance information retention and compliance.

In 2022, we revamped the content of our DTRT trainings to encompass various crucial topics such as anti-harassment, data protection, social engineering, and security awareness, in addition to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

We offer an ethics helpline that enables anyone, including our employees, contractors, vendors, and external parties, to report any violations of company policies, our code, or the law. This helpline plays a vital role in improving our workplace experience. We strongly encourage individuals to voice their concerns, regardless of their magnitude, through this reporting avenue or other channels. By doing so, we can continuously work towards ensuring a compliant and inclusive workplace. The Audit and Finance Committee regularly receives quarterly reports on the issues raised through the ethics helpline calls and the subsequent actions taken.

To gauge the effectiveness of our ethical compliance practices, we conduct an annual GoDaddy Voice survey where we invite employees to provide feedback. In 2022, 87% of employees responded that they feel comfortable reporting ethics and compliance issues.
