Explore Georgia-Pacific's Sustainable Papermaking Process and Wildlife Conservation Efforts
Our team at Georgia-Pacific LLC recently welcomed members of the American Forest & Paper Association to our Savannah River Mill for an insightful tour of our recycled wastepaper operation. At our facility, we boast five of the world's 12 largest tissue paper machines, predominantly utilizing recycled fiber to manufacture the everyday products our customers rely on.

Marc Forman from GP RECYCLING LLC joined us to discuss our recycling initiatives, highlighting the impact of wastepaper usage on the papermaking process and GP's strategies for managing wastepaper inputs to meet specific customer product requirements.

During the visit, our guests from AF&PA gained insights into our Wildlife Habitat Council Conservation Certification and witnessed firsthand our commitment to supporting local wildlife across over 1,000 acres of land.

We extend our gratitude to AF&PA for their collaborative partnership and commend our Savannah River Mill team for facilitating this informative and engaging visit!
