Entergy Donates $3M and Expands Programs to Help Customers Beat the Summer Heat

09/29/2025

Facing record-breaking summer heat, Entergy’s shareholders, employees, and customers came together to contribute $3 million to assist households struggling with high energy bills. The company’s long-running “Beat the Heat” initiative provides direct support through bill payment relief, free cooling fans, energy-saving kits, home weatherization, and partnerships with community organizations.

“Our dedication to standing by our customers, especially during extreme weather, remains strong,” said Patty Riddlebarger, Entergy’s vice president of corporate social responsibility.
“Through our Beat the Heat efforts and local collaborations, we aim to help families stay safe, comfortable, and financially secure. Supporting our communities is at the heart of what we do.”

For nearly 25 years, Entergy has worked with nonprofits across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas to ease the burden on vulnerable residents during the hot summer season, when electricity use and costs climb sharply. These collaborations have delivered vital resources, financial aid, and practical help when it matters most.
