Eastman & Doloop Launch 100% Recycled PET Beverage Bottle for Circular Economy

09/23/2025

Eastman, a global innovator in sustainable materials, and Doloop, a leading PET packaging specialist, have announced a partnership focused on advancing sustainable beverage packaging and accelerating progress toward a circular economy. The companies will debut a fully recycled PET (rPET) beverage bottle at Drinktec 2025, scheduled for September 15–19 in Munich, Germany. Attendees can experience the new bottle at Doloop’s booth, 242 in Hall C6.

The bottle is made using Eastar Renew EN031, Eastman’s chemically recycled PET, which matches the performance and quality of virgin PET. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in sustainable beverage packaging, providing brands with a scalable solution to achieve 100% recycled content in their bottles while maintaining clarity, purity, and meeting sustainability objectives.

With extensive experience in preforms and PET bottles, Doloop is well-equipped to transform Eastman’s Eastar Renew PET resin into high-quality beverage packaging. The partnership highlights both companies’ commitment to promoting the circular economy by combining chemically recycled PET with industry expertise.

“Doloop has been at the forefront of regenerative PET packaging for years,” said Dovydas Stulpinas, CEO of Doloop. “Working with Eastman allows us to offer the beverage sector a solution that aligns with the highest sustainability and quality standards. We are excited to showcase the bottle at Drinktec, demonstrating its clarity and performance and illustrating a model for circular packaging adoption across Europe and beyond.”

Eric Dehouck, managing director of Eastman’s circular economy platform, added, “Eastman’s innovation drives leadership in sustainable materials, but collaboration is key to achieving circularity in plastic packaging. Our partnership with Doloop demonstrates the crucial role supplier relationships play in preparing markets to meet both current and upcoming regulatory requirements.”

At Drinktec 2025, Eastman and Doloop will also highlight opportunities in markets with established deposit-return systems, such as the Nordic countries, where demand for high-quality recycled content is rapidly increasing. Their joint effort presents a clear path for beverage producers, packaging engineers, and sustainability leaders to confidently adopt chemically recycled PET and support the transition to a circular economy.
